PIPING & ROUTING
MedTec have experience in providing piping and routing solutions from the marine to the oil and gas sector. Our design software allows for accurate and precise runs saving cost and time at the assembly stage.
Because MedTec produces fully parametric 3D detailed models we can view design in real world working environments and spot possible issues with greater speed and accuracy whilst using updatable models, which speed up the prototype and design process.
Our drawings packages are linked with models so update when the assembly do which allows a structured and fluently laid out drawing flow. Making the communication of item or product effortless to understand.
MedTec and Flexibuster
One of MedTec favourite projects was for SeaB Energy, MedTec assisted by producing a full design package for this client, including 3D Modelling, 2D Drawings, BOM’s and purchasing lists.
MedTec undertook surveys and offered support at every stage throughout the project from concept to manufacture. This project was undertaken by working remotely from the MedTec offices, saving travel time and expenses for our client.
Piping & Routing
Flexibuster has been designed to provide a logical and sustainable way of capturing the energy that remains in food waste. Instead of paying for this waste to be taken away and processed somewhere else.
This containerised anaerobic digester is fully automated and remotely monitored. This unit uses state-of-the-art sensors and controls which automatically prepare waste material for digestion and control the flow of the material through the system.
Piping & Routing
One previous project saw MedTec assist a client with work for a CO2 process for a DIET plant, we were tasked with finishing piping ISO’s, producing 3d models which were used to generate GA’s and producing the Material take off.
The Material takeoff which included a catalogue of materials involving quantities of piping types and fittings which were necessary to produce a designed structure. We produced back of house data sheets containing a comprehensive list with various listing columns.
There were also columns for the quantity of the materials and the unit prices of these materials. Allowing our client to obtain a precise estimation cost. We were informed that the work that we had produced played a vital part in the performance acceptance. All the piping went in pretty much to design was tested and accepted by TUV SUD with very few weld failures allowing the client to gain full CE approval.
Because of the success of the first project we were asked to complete further work and provide ISO drawings to assist with design installation requirements where we had to extend a cantilever floor. The extended platform had to fit 2x DN300 (12”) ANSI B16.5 Class 300 RF flanged strainer vessels plus all of the modifications to the joining DN100 piping including manual process and vent isolation ball valves (DN15, DN40 & DN100) and actuated ball valves (DN100).
This design was tricky as space was limited however our design needed to provide sufficient space for access to the duty/standby strainer vessels so that they could be easily cleaned.
We also had to break into a 2nd stage compressor suction downstream of a pressure control valve and insert filter vessels allowing for a manual isolation process inlet DN100 ball valve, line mounted PSV’s and DN40 & DN20 isolation and vent ball valves.
