MedTec has paused its engineering design projects to assist with providing PPE for the NHS and many other local companies. Like many other tech companies (and even hobbyists), there has been unity in adapting and responding to the COVID-19 crisis. MedTec’s Ultimaker 3D printers have been running continuously in the past weeks providing thousands of PPE items.

MedTec would like to send a huge thank you out to all of the frontline workers and extend an offer of help in the provision of 3D printed PPE. Although our company name may suggest otherwise, it is rare for us to produce products for the health and medical sector. MedTec’s name originates from our location next to the River Medina on the Isle of Wight and the technical nature of our business.

3D printing gives us the ability to provide fast solutions to assist with the pandemic.
